Scottish archaeology - Excavations open day at Orkney - 22 July 2012

Open day for the excavations at Knowe of Swandro, Orkney, 22 July 2012.

Open day for the archaeological excavations at the Knowe of Swandro on the west coast of Rousay, Orkney - 22 July 2012. For the last six weeks students from Orkney college, Bradford University, and City Univerisity New York have been excavating a site which is being destroyed by coastal erosion.

Tours of the site will take place between 11.30 am and 4.30pm. Access the site via the Westness Walk. For more information, tel: 01463 279000.
