Scottish Memories Photography Competition 2013

18 April 2013

Scottish Memories Photography Competition 2013

With so many picturesque and intriguing locations, buildings and people, it is no wonder Scotland is a popular muse for photographers around the world. It’s been that way for decades. Whether it’s tourists capturing the sights and sounds of our big cities, amateurs recording a memorable moment on film, or professional photographers producing evocative and striking images, Scotland is the perfect place to take photographs.

Each issue of Scottish Memories features stunning and evocative photography, from landscape scenes to family snapshots of years gone by, and now we want you to contribute with a photo that captures the spirit of present day Scotland. It could be a historic castle you visited on a day out, a family party or an everyday scene, the choice is yours.

So get out there and get snapping!

The best photographs received will be printed in a future issue of Scottish Memories, and the prizes for the winners are as follows:

1st prize:

  • A signed copy of Douglas Corrance’s book Scotland: Five Decades, courtesy of Lomond Books (www.scottishbookstore.com)
